Drug Database logo and brand assets

The mark is a medicine capsule built from the stacked plates of a database drum — a database, as a drug. Everything here is free to use when you write about Drug Database or link to it. Take any asset as SVG or PNG: no form, no email address to hand over.

Primary logo

The horizontal lockup on white. Use this one by default.

Drug Database
Primary logo, reversed

The same lockup on ink, dark UI or a photograph.

Variations

Every version of the logo

Pick the one that fits the ground it sits on. The capsule keeps its blue in the colour versions; in the reversed ones the grooves are knocked out, so whatever is behind the mark shows through them and the glyph holds its contrast on any dark surface.

Mark

The glyph alone, on a transparent ground.

Mark, one colour

Ink. Print, stamps, single-colour jobs.

Mark, reversed

White, grooves knocked out — any dark ground.

App icon

The mark on a white tile, the way the favicon sits.

App icon, dark

Ink tile, for dark app grids and avatars.

Drug Database
Stacked logo

Square spaces: badges, slides, sponsor walls.

Drug Database
Stacked, reversed

The same, on dark.

Drug Database
Wordmark

Type alone. Only where the mark already appears.

Drug Database
Wordmark, reversed

Type alone, on dark, same rule.

Each file is built in your browser from the same drawing the nav uses, so it is never a stale copy of a logo we have moved on from. The favicon is this same mark with its plates a touch heavier, which is what keeps it legible at 32 px.

Construction

Built from the shape it means

A capsule 17 units wide and 32 tall, with ends rounded to half its width so they are true half-circles. Three plates cross it on a 5-unit pitch; the middle one is drawn heavier because it is the capsule's seam as well as the drum's centre band. Every number on the drawing is a constant in the code, not a measurement taken off a picture.

Clear space

Leave space on all four sides equal to half the height of the capsule. Nothing goes inside the hatched area — not type, not a rule, not the edge of the card it sits on, and not another logo.

Minimum size

16 px markDrug Database20 px lockup

Below 16 px the three plates close into one another and the capsule reads as a plain pill. If you need it smaller than that, you need a different asset, not a smaller logo.

Colour

One blue, one ink

The palette is deliberately short. The capsule's blue is the only colour the brand owns; everything else on the page is ink, white, or a hairline. Click a swatch to copy it.

Typeface

Plus Jakarta Sans

The wordmark is Plus Jakarta Sans Bold at −0.02em; the site sets body copy in Inter. Both are free and open-source (SIL OFL), and neither is bundled in these downloads. That matters in one place: the PNGs are drawn with the real font and are exact, while the SVGs carry live text and will substitute a system sans on a machine without Plus Jakarta Sans installed. If the wordmark has to be pixel-right somewhere you do not control, take the PNG.

Usage

Please don’t

Use the lockup to link to us or to say your product reads from our API; use the mark alone once the name is already on the page. The four below are what we ask you not to do — and they are the four that actually happen.

Recolour the capsule. The blue is the brand; the grooves are always white.
Rotate, flip or stretch it. The capsule is 17 by 32, always.
Add a shadow, a glow or an outline. It is a flat mark on a flat surface.
Set it on a busy or low-contrast ground. Use the reversed mark instead.

The name

Write Drug Database: two words, both capitalised. Not DrugDatabase, not Drug DB.

What it doesn’t mean

Our data comes from public national registers. Using our logo says you use our API — it does not say that we endorse you, and it says nothing at all on behalf of any regulator whose register we read.

Anything else

The logo and the name are ours, licensed for the uses on this page and no further; the full position is in the terms. Need a size or format that isn’t here? hello@drug-database.com.
